How to delete your Walk Or Lose account, what data is erased, and what we're legally required to keep.

You can delete your Walk Or Lose account at any time, directly from the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

How to delete your account

You can delete your account directly from the app at any time:

  1. Open Walk Or Lose on your Android device.
  2. Go to Profile → Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm in the dialog that appears.
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Once confirmed, your account and its associated data cannot be recovered.

What data is deleted

Deleting your account permanently erases:

  • Your profile (name, photo, email address)
  • Your step history and daily records
  • Your participation in active or past programs
  • Your comments and in-app generated content
  • Your in-app balance and pending transactions

What data is retained and for how long

For legal and accounting obligations, we retain for 5 years:

  • Financial transaction records (deposits and withdrawals) — required by EU tax regulations.

This data is not used for any commercial purpose and is not accessible from the app or linked to any active profile.

Pending balance before deleting

If you have an available balance in your account, withdraw it before deleting your account via Profile → Withdraw funds. Once the account is deleted, no balance can be recovered.

Check your balance before continuing. Any un-withdrawn balance is permanently lost when the account is deleted.

If you can't access the app to delete your account, email us at support@walkorlose.com with the email address associated with your account, and we'll process the deletion manually within 30 days.
